The gasoline leak is an unfortunate circumstance for everyone involved, from the community to the proprietors of the gas station.

The City of Elgin is committed to restoring the safety and health of our land and people back to Elgin standards.

To that extent, the City is working diligently with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) in remediating the side effects of this leak.

The City Council wants to remind residents that if you smell any gasoline vapors, please call 9-1-1 immediately.

Again, the City is working with the MPCA for the environmental safety and the health of our people.
