Spread holiday cheer by decorating a light pole on Elgin Main Street.

  • Open to Elgin area individuals, businesses, organizations, and clubs
  • Must be Family Friendly and non-political
  • Entries accepted at Elgin City Hall through Nov 22, 2024
  • $100.00 Entry Fee for businesses and $50.00 for all others. Money raised will be used to purchase decorations in the future
  • Displays assembled between Nov 29th and Dec 8th A holiday party and award presentation (1st and 2nd places for both business & non-business entries) will be Dec 14 from 12/Noon at the Blacktop Bar & Grill.
  • Decorations must be removed by Jan 12th.

  • Please complete Entry Form and return to City Hall with fee. Checks can be made payable to the ELGIN EDA

  • Review map and select a light pole. Let City Hall know which light pole you want when Entry Form is dropped off.

When form is dropped off, City Hall will give applicant an agreement that will need to be signed by everyone decorating the pole.

When agreement is signed return it to City Hall or put in the water bill drop box.
